In the fashion world it's never a new occurrence seeing designers appear in campaigns for their product.
Such designers as Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Angela Missoni and Jason Wu have all posed in advertisements for their own brands —
even the legendary Yves Saint Laurent modeled in the nude for the French house's first male fragrance, Pour Homme, in 1971
On the other hand, when designers appear in campaigns for other brands its rather a less frequent occurrence.
However, it's happening in a big way for fall 2015.
Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci unveiled on Instagram Tuesday that Donatella Versace will star in the label's fall 2015 ads, as part of a "Givenchy Family" campaign
Donatella Versace is an Italian fashion designer and current Vice President of the Versace Group, as well as its chief designer
The Givenchy ads were shot by Mert and Marcus, and likely styled by Carine Roitfeld.
