It was a last minute near win performance by the Super Eagles of Nigeria equalizing making it a 2-2 draw with the Bafa Bafa of south Africa but that was enough to see Nigeria through to the 2015 AFCON .
Nigeria has failed to qualify for the 2015 AFCON after forcing 10-man South Africa to a 2-2 in Uyo.
All four goals were scored by 2 players. Tokelo Rantie and Sone Aluko, both pulled a brace each in a game Nigeria needed a win to seal an automatic ticket for the 30th edition of the AFCON.
South Africa put up a starring performance through out the qualifiers, going 6 matches without a defeat.
Nigeria is yet to defend a title won at this level on all three occasions, 1980, 1994 and 2013, where the Eagles have been crowned champions.
South Africa and Congo make it through the group and Nigeria will not even benefit from the runners-up gate.
