It
was all high fashion at the much awaited 10th anniversary edition of
the Future Awards Africa at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island,
Lagos.
Toke Makinwa, Mocheddah, Toni Tones, Bonang Matheba and Isio Delavega were a few of the best eye-catchy red-carpet faves. Who would you pick as the best dressed?
Mocheddah in April by Kunbi
Making the most of her opportunity to shine and notorious for consistent red carpet slaying, Modupe reminds us why she is regarded as a style star. As much as we find the sheer panel around the boob area distracting, this canary yellow floor length number with a side train stuns. The colour makes a statement, the fit of the garment is fantastic and the absence of accessories is genius.
Isio Delavega in Teri John
From Nike Oshinowo to Meryl Streep in Lanvin, the metallic trend keeps getting fresh interpretations. Serving a version of this trend at the Future Awards Africa is Isio Delavega. Her style is simple. She lets the dress shine.
Toke Makinwa
Toke understands rocked the red carpet in a spectacular beaded floor length garment, she understands the art of making each look memorable. Toke played the grown-up-fashionista card well without shoving it down our throats. The garment, the fit, the entire presentation was just beautiful.
Bonang Matheba in April by Kunbi
Switching up her outfits three times, this was certainly one of our favorite of Bonang’s hosting arsenals. It was young, daring and she pulled it off effortlessly.
Toni Tones in Yemi Shoyemi
Toni has evolved and so has her style. She not only loves fashion but understands her personal style. This classic Toni Tones ball gown is no exception.
Which of these five looks is the most iconic red–carpet dress? Be the judge.
