Rihanna Lands New Role As “Key Advisor” In Season 9 of NBC "The Voice"

We are sure the Rihanna Navy will jump for joy as NBC announce last Thursday that Rihanna would be taking part in the ninth season of The Voice.

She won’t be a judge, but instead, a behind-the-scenes “key advisor,”
a role that’s previously been filled by Chris Martin and Taylor Swift.

According to NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt,"We landed Rihanna to be the key advisor to all the coaches this fall,"
"This is one of music’s true supervisors coming on board to influence the lives and careers of the performers."
RiRi will be bouncing around to each team, helping the judges (Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams,
and Adam Levine) and their mentees. NBC has also enlisted Missy Elliott, Selena Gomez, John Fogerty,
and Brad Paisley to work separately with each team during the Battle Rounds.

Hopefully the show won’t distract Rihanna from finishing and releasing the much-anticipated #R8,
the Kanye West-produced follow-up album to 2012’s Unapologetic that she’s confirmed will drop sometime this year.

The ninth season of The Voice, featuring Rihanna, premieres on NBC in September.
