Effizie Music first lady Yemi Alade is billed to perform in the United Kingdom on Friday, August 28, 2015
at the Dance Afrique Summer Fest with American star, Akon. The Konvict Music CEO and Yemi Alade will be on stage with South African music group, Mafikizolo, who are popular in Nigeria for their hit singles Khona and Tchelete featuring Davido. The SSE Arena in Wembley, UK will play host to the Solution Media and Infotech sponsored event.
The organizers of the event had earlier staged a similar concert that had Nigerian duo of P-Square and Flavour partnering with Shatta Wale to thrill fans. At the last BET Awards, Yemi Alade was among the Nigerian artists that complained about the award organisers treatment of African acts.
BET plans to present awards to Africans backstage rather than at the main event.
