Chude Jideonwo , born on 16 March 1985, is a Nigerian lawyer, award-winning journalist and media entrepreneur with he has a Master’s Degree in
Media and Communication from the Pan-African University. For a decade now, he has garnered key experience in all forms of traditional and new media.
He was Named by Forbes as one of Africa’s 30 best entrepreneurs under 30. Chude Jideonwo is Managing Partner of Red Media Africa (RED) – which owns the continent’s largest portfolio of youth media brands. RED’s brands include The Future Africa Awards Africa, Y! Africa and YNaija.com.
In 2010, he convened friends and colleagues to hold the historic EnoughisEnough protests and co-founded EnoughisEnough Nigeria, which has become the country’s foremost good governance group for young Nigerians. His latest book, ‘Are We The Turning Point Generation?’ was published by Farafina in May 2014 and has toured Lagos, Abuja, Jonannesburg, London, Paris and New York.
Jideonwo has successfully managed the campaign communication for two consecutive Nigerian Presidents. Through Statecraft Inc, RED’s governance communication arm, he led on the communication across demographics for the Muhammadu Buhari campaign in 2015. Building and driving a movement, the digitally-driven campaign upset a 16-year monopoly by the previous ruling party, and set off excitement across the continent.
He is a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum, a member of the African Leadership Network and sits on the boards of the Oando Foundation and Micosoft4Afrika.
His career sits at the intersection between media, business and governance, deploying the media as an active tool to galvanise a generation of Africans to action.
