'The Eight Foundation' Features Popular Nigerian Stars in a Campaign Against Rape Tagged “Break the Silence”


Miss Nigeria 2014 Ezinne Akudo's The Eight Foundation started a viral weekly campaign and stand off against sexual violence tagged “Break the Silence”

In the campaign several Nigerian stars in various fields took turn to show their support for the foundation
in a bold step against rape.

According to the foundation the “Break the Silence” campaign was organized to encourage survivors of sexual violence to speak out. In recent times the Eight Foundation frowns at the situation where the issue of rape is swept under the carpet or covered and victims are left traumatized.

The foundation further stated that it has committed staff and resources to protect survivors
legally and rehabilitate them using its experienced counselors.

These campaign was done with Timi Dakolo, Niyola, Dolapo Oni, B-Red, Beverly Osu,
Reekado Banks, Shaydee, Saeon, Ketchup, Taje Prest, Liz Awoliyi, JJC,
Denola Grey, Dimeji Alara, DJ Jimmy Jatt and many more.
