India's First Lady Died in Active Service At 74 | She will be Cremated on Wednesday

India’s first lady President Pranab Mukherjee’s wife Suvra Mukherjee who was suffering from respiratory disorders died on Tuesday. She was 74.

The revered first lady was also said to have a heart condition and had been in the intensive care unit. She was under treatment at the Army (Research and Referral) Hospital, Delhi.

“Suvra Mukherjee died after a cardiac arrest. She was on ventilator till the time of her death,” hospital PRO Sanjay Kumar said.

She has already been laid-in-state where guests are paying their last respect at the presidential residence. She will be cremated tomorrow.
